The Tamborine Bush Volunteers work with Queensland Parks and Wildlife rangers to revegetate areas of the national park which are under attack from escaped garden plants. At the August working bee, 14 members cleared weeds, lantana and garden creepers from an area of Joalah Section of Tamborine National Park.
Our activity did not deter the . This find was a surprise and was of interest to the students from the Queensland Academy for Health Sciences who are working with the Tamborine Bush Volunteers on a community service project.
If you would like to join the group to plant up this area you would be more than welcome. Our next working bee will be on 6 September. We will meet at Dapsang Avenue, Eagle Heights park entrance.
TBV working bees are held on the first Saturday of each month. New members are always welcome – no membership fees, work at your own pace. For more information on the group Contact the TBV Coordinator
