TERRA 816: Reduce Reuse Recycle-tron Bjorn, a surly viking transported to the present through mysterious circumstances, must come to terms with Resource Conservation (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle) through the expert coaching of high school students Brenda and Mickey, and their biology teacher, Mr. Wilson. The film is composed of two parts: a narrative and a music video, both overlain with motion graphics. These films were shown to focus groups of 6th-8th grade students to test the educational value and appeal of music videos and motion graphics. TERRA 805: Natabar Sarangi – The Source: Natabar continues to find, save and share his indigenous rice seed with local farmers. To date he has managed to re-introduce over 350 varieties. But it’s not just about the indigenous rice seed of India or about the survival of a sustainable agriculture system with the knowledge of over ten thousand years. It’s about a global phenomenon taking place where a non-sustainable system systematically destroys a sustainable one, where short term profit has the power to overwhelm common sense and the consciousness of many millions, where progress is not progress but the wanton destruction of an eco-system and environment we will never be able to replace.

Though it is still a mystery that befuddles many scientists, it is increasingly evident that these incredible creatures are quickly disappearing from the night sky at rates never before witnessed. We follow the filmmaker as she sets out to understand the vital importance of a healthy bat population and how our fate and that of the bats are more closely related than we may think.

TERRA 507: On the Wing PART ONE: On The Wing is a new documentary which tells the story of Portland, Oregon's Chapman Swifts. Each fall these birds roost in the chimney of a Portland elementary school and put on an amazing nightly aerial display to the delight of hundreds and thousands of observers. The event has become a cult phenomenon over the past 15 years and is a shining example of people choosing to coexist with nature rather than smoking it out. On The Wing captures the community, energy and excitement of the entire Swifts phenomenon.
