A cool morning when we all met at the Numinbah Valley Hall before the final car-pool to the Qld/NSW border where we would start. The walk from the road up along the border was rather steep but easily manageable as the track had recently been cleared by weed poisoning. It was dry and windy but we were protected from the prevailing wind by trees and shrubs along the border.
Before arriving at the cliff face which marks the start of Bushrangers Cave we re-found a strange rock that Julie had found on our earlier recce visit. This rock is unlike anything in the vicinity so Julie will enjoy some investigative work finding out what it is and how it got where it was found. Our arrival at the "entrance" to Bushrangers Cave saw us completely protected from the wind. A nice respite.Add a comment
