A wonderful mid-week break in the Bunya Mountains. What a lovely place. Also hadn't realised I missed actually having some winter weather. Of course, it does help when there is a lovely log fire to snuggle around and when out and about in the fresh air one has sufficient warm clothing. Certainly need to go there again to do the walks we didn't have time to do this time.
Needless to say, my walking companions helped to make the whole trip so much more enjoyable, plus good meals and wine each day just add to a very pleasurable experience.
Perhaps the highlight of the trip was meeting a group of indigenous rangers working on a new walking track and viewing platform - their friendliness and information about regeneration of the parkland was so special. Thanks to Pam for her safe driving from the Gold Coast to Bunya and return. Her chatting made the trip seem very short - Christine.
