Only 3 walkers today but it was a lovely day for "walking and talking"!
We set off from Kevin Gates Park at 8 am and walked out to the rock wall. We then walked around past the Caravan park and did our walk the opposite way to what we usually did so as to get the open bit over and done with before it got too hot.
We did the Wetland Trail and the Coastal Forest Loop at the Elanora Wetlands Reserve and Paul spotted a lovely Kingfisher that flew high up in a tree. I did manage to get a good photo of it. We then walked over the foot bridge and decided to have a coffee at the cafe and Joy and I also had a yummy muffin.
We walked through the boardwalk that goes past David Fleays and then along Tallebudgera Creek and back down to where Paul and I had parked our cars. We had our lunch near the creek at Kevin Gates Park and enjoyed watching what was going on around us. A storm was brewing and we left just in time to go to our cars as it then bucketed down for a short time. Was a good day with good company! Sorry don't know how far we walked but it was "just right" anyway. Julie Cullen
