Walkers - Christine D, Kris, Susan, Kerry, Pam, Paul, John, Colin - Distance - 22.1k
Eight of us enjoyed a wonderful day's walking in the National Parks of Mt Tamborine. After a shaky start after Colin had sent everyone off to the wrong start point, we started our leasurely stroll through the magnificent forest which varied at every turn. Lots of muddy sections here.
After completing Palm Grove Circuit, we had smoko at Staffsmith Park before making our way to Curtis Falls which looked spectacular after recent rains. Again lots of mud in sections but at least we were not being rained upon.
We had a leasurely lunch at the Information Centre after which we made our way to The Knoll to visit Cameron Falls. This was the driest underfoot of the three walks so we were all keeping our fingers crossed that it would stay that way. Refreshments were had at the Mountain Brew cafe before we started the 2.5k trek back to the cars at the Palm Grove car park. A great day was had by all - Colin.
