A very warm afternoon, but a cooling breeze made it comfortable. There had been rain the day before so that there was standing water in a few places and we could see the effects of surface flows and bark and leaves knocked to the ground.
The usual mosquitos heavier in some places more than others. Insect spray was shared around for protection.
A couple of good koala sightings and huge numbers of young kangaroos taking advantage of new green grass shoots. Paperbarks looking a little worse for wear because of the lack of rain but the latest drink should do them good. Didn't see any waterbirds this time, but presumably they were ot there - Colin
