White necked Heron

 

Eleven members all enthusiastically left the mountain on a very cold winter’s morning bound for the first location of Flagstone Creek Road just off the main road to Beaudesert. Along this road are various dams and good tree and bush habitat.
Our first views were of a stunning male Scarlet Honeyeater feeding on Eucalypt flowers
together Lewin’s and Yellow-faced Honeyeaters and Noisy Friarbirds.
